Inside a popular chemist at Broadway Shopping Centre
1 Bay Street Broadway NSW 2007
Broadway Shopping Centre now managed by Mirvac opened up in the late 1990's. One block of this shopping centre was home to the old Grace Brothers (now Myer) department store at the time. The second block (across the road) is home to some eateries and popular student accommodation.
The kids play space
Broadway Shopping Centre has always offered three hours parking to regular shoppers, and four hours of free parking to those who choose to catch a film at the Hoyts cinemas that has been there since the beginning.
This shopping centre originally had three floors, and has now expanded to four floors to cater to the needs of the fashion conscious. The entry level (ground) floor is fairly basic. Services such as banks and dry cleaners are found here, as well as travel agencies and a popular newsagent. There are two supermarkets on this floor. Top Juice now occupies the space where Wendy's Ice Cream used to be a tenant.
Top Juice, where Wendy's used to be.
Fashion displays entertain as you head up the travellators to the next level for some clothes, and where K-Mart is located. Gloria Jeans Coffees has always been here. A Boost Juice Bar is now also available on this floor. The next level up (used to be the highest level, now the second highest level) is where the food court is. The range is extensive, and paves a walkway to head onto Glebe Point Road. The cinemas with a Ben & Jerry's ice cream store is located on this floor.
Heading up to the higher floors
The top floor is trendy central. This is where some of the finest clothes and beauty products can be purchased, with a cafe right in the middle of this floor. An Apple Store, as well as Target is located up here. Priceline and L'Occitane are also tenants on this floor. There is a great place to get your nails done up here too, as well as a cornered and secluded kids play area. The latter is quite new.
The food court area
Furthermore, at an additional level below the main entrance is a fresh fruit market. If you park your car in the main undercover car parking area, this is ultra convenient for you if you wish to buy your fresh fruit and vegetables here instead of the supermarkets inside the complex. Those who are part of the Fly Buys loyalty program will be in heaven here with five major stores that are part of this program.
Warning: this place is busy during the silly season.
