A love of handmade, natural soap led me to the discovery of Dacare Essentials, a home based business based on the NSW Central Coast and run by a lovely lady by the name of Ruth. After purchasing one lot of soap to try, I had to go back for more. The soaps are a lively kaleidoscope of colours, have a lovely fragrance but, best of all, retain the natural emollients of lye and donít dry out the skin unlike commercial soaps.
Ruth runs an Ebay shop which is where I found her products. Coming into Christmas, her soaps were the perfect choice for gifts to various family members.
Soaps are made using the traditional cold pressed method and hand poured, cut and cured. There is a wide variety of choices including goats milk, goats milk with clary sage and geranium essential oils, citronella, citrus and oatmeal, cedarwood lime and pine essential oils, and peppermint and mango essential oils. If your skin is sensitive to essential oils, there is also one without any fragrance or oils. No harmful chemicals or synthetic ingredients are used in the making of these soaps.
All soaps are packaged and labelled individually with batch numbers in sealed plastic. Being hand cut, the weight of soaps varies from 110gms to 125gms. Bars are in packs of four or packs of ten. Ruth also cuts larger bars which are about equivalent to two regular bars.
